On March 28th, the Université du Québec en Outaouais hosted the 5th edition of the Scientific Day organized by the Social, Cognitive, and Clinical Neuroscience Group (SC2NG), an event now firmly rooted in the academic life of our community. Bringing together over a hundred students, professors, researchers, and enthusiasts of psychology and neuroscience, the day once again highlighted the vitality of student research, the value of interdisciplinary dialogue, and the importance of scientific exchange.

SC2NG would like to recognize the excellence of the student presentations, which demonstrated rigor, clarity, and originality. Congratulations to Bianca McFadden, recipient of the Best Poster Presentation Award, and to Allyson Bastien, recipient of the Best Oral Presentation Award. Arthur Gaudreau also received an Honorable Mention for his poster presentation, as did Myriam Paquette for her oral presentation. These distinctions reflect the scientific commitment of the next generation and the importance of creating spaces where emerging voices can be heard.

The day was further enriched by two guest lectures. Isabelle Soulières (UQAM) presented "Cognitive and Brain Development in Autistic Youth: How Do the Strengths of Autistic Youth Emerge?" Shirley Fecteau (Université Laval) delivered a talk titled "The Relevance of Combining Noninvasive Neuromodulation and Neuroimaging in the Study of Cognitive Functions."

The success of this event relied on the collective efforts of many. We would like to thank the organizing committee — Daniel Fiset, Joël Guérette, Chloé Galinier, and Alex Cousineau — for their dedication. Our sincere thanks also go to the volunteers, members of the scientific committee, and everyone who contributed, directly or indirectly, to making the day a success.

By creating a space conducive to dialogue, knowledge sharing, and the promotion of research, this 5th edition of the Scientific Day continues to fulfill the mission of GNSC2.

See you in 2026 for another exciting edition!
